MEET THE DRIVE BEHIND THE MISSION

Erynn Moore - Owner/Founder and President

Erynn Moore - Owner/Instructor/President

With over 25 years of teaching experience and a lifelong passion for dance, Erynn Moore is the heart and driving force behind The Dance Project of Gaines County.  A San Antonio native, Erynn began her training in jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, pom and some ballet in her high school dance program at the age of 14. After graduation she continued her training with some of the city’s most respected studios and mentors.

Erynn’s journey in dance has been as inspiring as it is diverse. In the early 2000s she served as an instructor and team director for the Guardian Angel Performance Arts Academy with award winning choreography, a charter school focused on the arts. For 14 years, she was a lead choreographer and Assistant Director for San Antonio Roses Entertainment under the direction of a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader and lifelong Mrs Petite Texas pageant title holder, Mrs. Cynthia Trinidad. Training dancers for professional NBA/NFL teams as well as other professional entertainment jobs like Disney and others, the organization on average had 1-2 girls per year move on to professional jobs. Through the mentorship and experience of this program Erynn not only progressed with professional leadership but also had her choreography featured in the nationally televised All-American Army Bowl for two seasons.

Her personal training is extensive, having attended elite-level workshops such as 3 seasons at The Real Deal: prepping for pro teams with the directors from the Houston Texans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and other pro level choreographers. The Dance Workshop, where she trained with industry legends who danced for Britney Spears, Destiny’s Child, Missy Elliot, NSYNC and more. This included powerhouse choreographer and now owner of ICON Dance Complex in New Jersey, George “GEO” Hubela. A private workshop experience with her and her students at the Guardian Angel Performance Academy that included choreographer Kevin Tancheron who choreographed the NSYNC “Dirty Pop” music video and tour as well as appeared in the movie, You Got Served.

Erynn also performed with the Avant Agency, attended classes in a Broadway studio in New York City and locally appeared on several TV and parade appearances in San Antonio through the San Antonio Roses Entertainment.

In 2006, her dream of performing professionally led her to audition for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, where she made a very brief appearance in the first ever episode of DCC: Making the Squad. Though health issues prevented her from continuing that path, as a Type 1 Diabetic, she discovered a deeper calling: to choreograph, teach and inspire the next generation of dancers. In 2021 her husband's job brought their family from San Antonio to West Texas where they're now living another childhood dream of living the country life, getting herself and children involved in the local FFA/Stock Show, as well as serving in the community through church and local schools.

Today, Erynn channels her deep well of experience, skill, creativity and heart into every class at The Dance Project of Gaines County. Her mission is to provide not just dance education, but also mentorship and a creative outlet for the youth in her local and surrounding community. Whether students dance for fun, fitness, or future careers, she is passionate about helping each student find confidence, discipline, and joy through movement.
